Over the last two weeks in class, we have considered Ajna/Third Eye and Sahasra Chakra at the crown.
Our yoga is about quietening the mind so that we can connect clearly with this inner perception and knowledge. This stems from our Ajna chakra and to be fully aware of this intuition we need to be present and not clouded by thoughts of the past or the future. Meditative and Yoga Nidra practises help us to connect with this energy centre and to connect with our true inner selves.
We then considered Sahasra Chakra, located at the crown of the head. Here lies a 1000 petaled lotus flower, the gateway to higher states of consciousness, the energy of the universe. This energy connects us to the universe and connects us to all beings. Like a drop in the ocean, we can feel we are part of this divine universe, undivided and all expansive. When we allow ourselves to think about this life can feel easier or more chilled. We don’t have to carry the burden of it all – just keep doing the best we can at that moment.
When considering all the chakras we can feel that from the base to the navel we are understanding and developing our roots. And from the heart to the crown of the head we are expressing and receiving love. When we are balanced, we are connecting with all beings, with the divine energy of the universe through love and joy to help us all live peacefully.
I would love to hear your thoughts 🙂
