This week our focus was on Vishuddha/Throat Chakra. This chakra is located by our throat, blue in colour and associated with the element space/ether. The qualities of this chakra are honest expression of our true self.
This is our centre for communication, through speech and listening. If this space is over active we may not hear others and if its under active we may not voice our passions. Being balanced in this space helps us to express our authentic self clearly and honestly.
In our current lifestyles we may feel we are constantly bombarded with communication – emails, texts, phone calls and so on. And the need to respond immediately. However, it is much better if we can pause for a moment, before we react, to consider what we are about to communicate. Consider – Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary? Sometimes it is better to not to say anything.
There have been many a time when I have quickly responded, or said something without thinking. On reflection, I have felt that wasn’t my true self or that wasn’t quite what I wanted to say. Remembering to pause has helped me to speak more authentically.
Words have power. It is the vibrations that they hold and we are all connected through those vibrations. This is why singing and chanting can feel so good 🙂 Positive words and thoughts send out good vibrations and this resonates with each of us.
In the theme of Vishuddha Chakra, I send you lots of love and good vibrations 🙂
