Our theme this week has been about letting go and forgiving, both ourselves and others.
Forgiveness does not mean that we accept or ignore the mistakes and harm caused, it means we allow ourselves to move on. By forgiving and moving on we can and acknowledge our true nature – Our true nature is kind, compassionate and peaceful.
If we hold on and are unable to forgive, we are the ones that are ultimately suffering. Holding a grudge or beating ourself up over something never helped anyone, it just eats away at us. It is up to us to be strong, forgive and move on. To be able to do this takes strength and openness of our hearts. Faith in the universe and our yoga practise helps us to be this way.
In class we used our asana(poses) to help open our heart centre and strengthen our emotions. By focusing on the breath we connected with our energies and released any holding on.
How do you forgive and let go? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
